Total 95.18 percent students passed this year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations, which is 3.33 pc lower than that of the previous year.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Ganabhaban around10amon Saturday.
Some of 2,62,609 students obtained GPA-5 in the examinations.
Education Minister Nurul Islam was also present.
The PEC and its equivalent Ebtedayee exams began on November 20 and ended on November 26 across the country with the participation of 3,096,075 students in 7,267 exam centres.
