Islami Bank East Zone batsman Mominul Haque completed his double century against Prime Bank South Zone on the second day of their 6th Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) game on Wednesday.
Mominul stretched his yesterday’s 169 not out to the double ton at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP) Ground-4 in Savar.
The left-handed batsman blasted 258 off 23 fours and three sixes before being trapped leg before by Abdur Razzak.
Fellow batsman Zakir Hasan also hit a century, making 119 with six fours and four sixes, helping the team post 546.
Former national spinner Abdur Razzak bagged six wickets while Saqlain Sajib took three.
In reply, Prime Bank South Zone are already struggling.
They have 78 runs in their first innings, losing three top orders -- Shahriar Nafees (29), Soumya Sarker (19) and Mehedi Hassan (9).
Shohag Gazi removed Soumya Sarker and Mehedi Hassan while Nazmul Apu took opener Shahriar Nafees’ wicket.
