Tamim falls after quick fifty
Local boy Tamim Iqbal reached a fifty in just 46 balls but was bowled soon afterwards in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Chittagong on Wednesday.

The Tigers now have 68 for 1 after 16 overs, Tamim just departing with 52 while his opening partner Imrul Kayes is on 19.

Dilruwan Perera picked Tamim's wicket, leaving the batsman to ponder how the ball skidded through the bat and the pad.

The hosts opted to bat first after stand-in skipper Mahmudullah had won the toss. Bangladesh handed Sunzamul Islam a Test debut in the game.-Prothom alo
